This week is the opening of a great and exciting festival in Barcelona. LoopFair. My work Covers has been selected to participate in the exhibition at the City Screen12, a part of the festival which will be displayed on multiple spaces of the city, activating different types of community centers, organizations and shops, and stimulating a wider circulation of present-day video creation. Piscina Vizcaya has been selected to participate during the Festival dei Popoli in Florence. A special screening of the work will be May 15 at the University of Florence during the final screening of the workshop ‘Filming Architecture’. The new cafe for Cibeles CentroCentro (a new cultural and exhibition center) is finally open! Located at the historical Cibeles Palace this magnificent building used to be the main Post Office of Madrid at Cibeles Plaza. In this project we have designed a special collection of rugs and created 2 different spaces to have lunch or just a quick morning cafe. This is a preview of the results of the Istanbul Workshop organized by Domaine de Boisbuchet for the Biennial. We created urban patterns based on the camouflage ‘ipsis’ designs which are representation of natural enviroments. The results will be exhibited in November. I will be participating at FETSAC 2012 a festival organized by the ETSAC about new roles/horizons of Architecture. This year the theme is ‘this is tomorrow’. Check their video teasers, they are great!

I will be directing a new summer Workshop at the Domaine de Boisbuchet comissioned by the Vitra Design Museum July 15th - July 21st. The program will be presented during the Salone Internazionale del Moble in Milan. The registration is already open! Check the program and the workshop here!

I will be directing the Workshop ‘Istanbul as a (design) battle field’ during the Design Biennial March organized by IKSV between 21st-28th of March and curated by Vitra Design Museum. The workshop is in the framework of the biennial theme “Imperfection”. More information here
